A Few Different Moments

Ok so here are a few moments from the last week...
1. Shining Moment: So I don't beat Bryan in many things, but I had one shining moment this week when I actually beat him in the wonderful and intense game of Ping Pong! It really was a fluke and I'll probably never beat him again, but I did beat him. And Stephanie beat Danny too! Steph was the true champion though cuz she beat me too. The guys kinda took it hard, they may have cried themselves to sleep, but they got over it. So I just had to take a moment to shout out to the true ping pong champions of the week!
2. Embarrassing Moment: Ok so I was talking to a friend that had read on my blog that olympic speed walking made me laugh. She said that she never saw it, so I was trying to explain to her what they did and how silly it looked, especially the guys, even though it was impressive how fast they go. Well anyway, explaining it to her wasn't working, so I thought I'd try to demonstrate... Bad idea! So I'm walking across the room with my legs straight and my hips going up and down very flambuoyantly and my arms moving side to side, when I look out the window and Bryan and a couple friends were watching me from outside, wondering what in the world I was doing. They just happened to be looking in that direction right when I did it. It was hilarious, but I was totally embarrased. I'm such a geek!
3. I forgot moment: I totally forgot what the other moment was that I was going to share so I'm just going to stop right here. It's kinda late and I'm kinda tired, so I'll just blame it on that. That's all I've got for this week. We'll see what happens next week! :)

The little things...

The last few days I've been thinking about the fun little things that make me smile. What got me started was when I came home the other day and my puppies were SOOO excited! It had been a long day for them. I sat down and they jumped on my lap and licked my face like crazy (kinda gross I know, but it was cute at the time... and it washes off) and wagged their little tails. They are so sweet, it just made my day. We could leave for just 5 minutes and come home and they treat us like we've been gone for a week. Dogs are so awesome! They just love you unconditionally. It's so cute. Then Koa ran and got her ball and came and sat in front of me. It made me laugh, so I thought I'd share. I guess my puppies are like my kids, for now :)
Another thing that got me thinking was my cute husband. He always does things that makes me smile or laugh cuz he's so much fun, but yesterday I was in the shower and Bryan was at the sink shaving. He said my name so I opened the shower door and he had written a message in shaving cream on his chest and had a big grin on his face. It was so awesome! I took a picture of it but he would die if I put it on here. He would probably get me back twenty times worse so I'm not gonna risk it. But it totally made me smile.
Other things that make me smile lately:
Friends that don't take life too seriously
A perfect day at the beach
The funny things kids say and their honesty
Yummy treats
Awesome friends and family being themselves
The olympics- especially speed walking (what an interesting sport)
Dr. Pepper
Just to name a few... But it really is the little things that make a difference, right?!!!

First real blog

Due to popular demand... I'm finally giving this blog thing a try. And hopefully it will be a little more exciting than our first posting! :) Ok so my new adventure this last week (as you can see from the picture...don't worry, I'm not as scary and psycho as I look) was learning to scuba dive. What a trip!! It's so weird being able to breath under water like that. I did my last certification dive out at Anacapa Island. It was so awesome! I totally recommend it. Bryan didn't get to go on this dive with me cuz he had to work so he had to dive in murky water with bad visibility. So no good pictures of him. :( But anyway, Bryan's uncle is a dive instructor and he came out here to certify us. So if anyone is interested in getting certified in the future, I know a guy!!
